On The Mend 101: Clothing Workshop

$30.00
Date:

Join us for a Clothing Mending Workshop, a 2.5-hour session designed to build both practical skills and deeper connection to our clothing. We’ll begin with guided reflection and conversation about our relationships to what we wear, then move into the basics of hand sewing and how to assess garments for repair.

Each participant is invited to bring an item to mend (or work on one provided), with all materials supplied. While projects may not be fully completed in the session, participants will leave with the knowledge, tools, and confidence to continue their repairs.

What You’ll Learn:

  • Mending Basics: Introduction to fundamental hand sewing techniques, including how to assess holes or tears and determine the best approach for repair.

  • Hands-On Mending: Participants will mend their own garments with individualized support and guidance

Class Format:

  • Hands-on practice with step-by-step guidance

  • Small class sizes to ensure personalized attention (cap at 12 students)

  • Friendly and supportive atmosphere for all skill levels
