Sewing 101 Beginner Workshop (will offer this workshop every other Mondays)
Welcome! This beginner class is designed to teach you all the basic essential skills and techniques to get started sewing and perfect for anyone who just wants to make a custom toiletry bag gift for someone! We can definitely personalize it afterwards!
What You’ll Learn:
Understanding your sewing machine: How to thread your machine (optional)
Essential sewing tools and learn some fabrication
Basic stitches: straight stitch, backstitch
How to use a zipper foot and sew a zipper onto a bag
Sewing seams and finishing edges
Tips on troubleshooting common sewing machine problems
You will make a a toiletry bag out of our sustainable fabrics (donated/secondhand) with much prints/colors to choose from! The bag will be lined as well with a color zipper you can choose from.
Class Format:
Hands-on practice with step-by-step guidance
Small class sizes to ensure personalized attention (cap at 6 students)
Friendly and supportive atmosphere for all skill levels
By the end of Sewing 101 toiletry bag, you’ll have the confidence and knowledge to get started sewing. This is a one-time workshop for 3 hours
