Sewing 101 Beginner Workshop (will offer this workshop once a week Thursdays and some Sundays)
Welcome! The perfect place to start your sewing journey! This beginner class is designed to teach you all the basic essential skills and techniques to get started sewing.
What You’ll Learn:
Understanding your sewing machine: How to thread your machine and use it.
Essential sewing tools and fabrics
Basic stitches: straight stitch, zigzag stitch, backstitch
Sewing seams and finishing edges
Tips on troubleshooting common sewing machine problems
You will make a tote bag out of thrifted, wash jeans. You get to learn sewing and be sustainable while at it. What other sewing beginner class is offering this!
( You are welcome to bring your own jeans you do not want to use anymore or use ours (they will be already taken apart for you to use as pieces for your bag, you can add an optional lining and put a pocket on it if time allows it)
Class Format:
Hands-on practice with step-by-step guidance
Small class sizes to ensure personalized attention (cap at 6 students)
Friendly and supportive atmosphere for all skill levels
By the end of Sewing 101, you’ll have the confidence and knowledge to get started sewing. This is a one-time workshop for 2.5 hours
