Patternmaking 101: 5 Saturday Classes (9/20-10/25: 1pm-3:30pm)

$400.00

Unlock the secret to perfectly fitting clothes by joining our sewing classes focused on creating your own clothing sloper to your exact measurements. A sloper, also known as a block pattern, is the foundation for all custom garments—crafted specifically to match your unique body shape.

In these hands-on sessions, you'll learn how to take accurate body measurements and draft a basic sloper that fits you like a glove. Once your sloper is complete, you’ll be able to modify it to design and sew patterns for shirts, dresses, and bottoms.

About your teacher:

Dearest gentle sewists!
I’m Sarah-Jeanne, a Québec-born sewist now based in NYC, with over 13 years of experience behind the machine. Guided by passion and a love for accessible fashion, I first learned the foundations of sewing and pattern reading from a retired fashion expert in my neighborhood, before advancing through self-learning and private sewing classes in Montréal. In the early 2020s, I launched Paulinessence, my sewing pattern company, to inspire others, share techniques, and make fashion accessible one stitch at a time. After years of working behind the screen, I’m thrilled to finally teach in person and support you on your creative journey.
