What Teens Will Learn
How to safely use a needle, thread, and scissors (develop their motor skills), How to follow simple patterns, Creating fun projects such as stuffies, plush pillows, keychains, pouches, and craft
Class Details
Ages: 7.5-5.5 (2nd grade- kindergarten) everyone is welcome!
Schedule: FRIDAYS: Jan 9th-March 26th (no class 2/20)
Class Size: Small groups (10 kids max each class) —2 instructors
Location: LIC ART CENTER 44-02 23rd Street Suite 210, Queens 11101 (same floor as the LIC Art Ballet)
All supplies will be provided, except snack and a water bottle, which they can fill up!
Parents must fill out form completely upon booking
This is all hand-sewing and crafting projects (no sewing machine permitted)
Environmental Friendly
The Sewing Clubhouse prides itself creating, using, and managing textiles and garments in ways that reduce environmental impact, conserve resources, and promote ethical practices throughout the process. All fabrics are sourced sustainably meaning either through donations/second-hand as most supplies being used are as well.
-Led by Van: a former high school sewing teacher and fashion industry professional with over a decade of experience teaching kids & adults and Bachelor’s degree in Apparel Design with a knack of up-cycling things
Cancellation Policy:
-Can request prior to classes beginning, no refunds on missed classes, make-up classes are offered on weekend or join another weekday class.

Does my child need sewing experience?
Not at all! Classes are beginner-friendly and start with the basics.
Can parents stay during class?
No, drop-off only or early pick-up (please let us know if more than 10 minutes)
What will my child bring home?
Every 2-3 sessions, they will bring home a sewing or craft project that they will love creating!
